I Don't Like Twitter

I don't like Twitter. I mean you have this way to connect with people that just doesn't seem to do a good job at helping you stay connected due to all of it's flaws. Sometimes I have more to say than just a few words and yet you lessen my words with only 140 characters. I'd like to be able to see an Instagram photo pop up in my feed vs me having to go to Instagram. I mean hello it was linked to your app so wouldn't you rather me stay on your app?

Don't get me wrong I think it's a really cool app but God these limitations make me hate it. People can be so negative too. Let some celebrity have a bad day or out their foot in their mouth for example. All of the haters come out of the wood work. O always find that I have a much better experience on Instagram and Facebook. I'm sure the same people on Twitter use them as well but it sure doesn't seem like it is all I'm saying. 😏

I Still Have Myspace

I still have a MySpace profile. I truly have no use for it whatsoever but I just feel guilty about giving up on it. I mean it was the 1st site ever for me to connect with people all over. Ok yeah I started out on dating sites by taking advantage of their chat rooms over 10yrs ago but it wasn't like MySpace. No MySpace had it all. It was simple, clean, fast, informative, and just a really cool thing to have. It was so big that celebrities made songs about and even had profiles of their own. They started that. What other site have you heard had that good? None worth mentioning.

I'm still hopeful that things will come back though. Until that day I'll be sure to keep mine active. I actually have to to be honest lol. One personal, one for my would be music career as a producer. Maybe things would got great for it ofnthey brought back the top 8 feature. Remember that? "What's your Myspace put me on your top 8"! Lol sighs* wishful thinking I suppose.

Amateurs Outside Of The Music Business

Problem
Excuse me while I vent but...there are no good outlets when it comes to putting out your music LOL. Dude whether you're a singer, rapper, songwriter, producer, live instrumentalist, etc. The majors have SoundCloud, YouTube, Facebook, iTunes, Amazon, and God knows what else. I mean yeah we have those outlets as well but we get massacred every single time because our pockets aren't deep enough. Now how can I compete with Laidback Luke or Katy Perry? It's damn near impossible because they've got conglomerates and their name. Psssh shoot they are conglomerates LOL. What do I have? Talent? Not enough anymore I'm afraid kids.

Solution
We need a marketing revolution for no name artists. An attractive and inviting site catered only to the music listener who wants to hear new music from no names and NOT the well known. Slefish? No. I just think things would be better that way. I mean seriously have you seen the comments to views ratio on sites where the users are 99% musicians like SoundCloud or even here on a music forum site FutureProducers? For every 200 views you get like two sad little verbal responses like "wow" or "good job on the chords come check out my sounds!" And by who?? Who's leaving those bland, teansparent comments? Other music creators. Blaaaah. Not listeners but creators. Now let's look at a site like YouTube where everybody is a user. You, me, your coworker. All of us. As soon as some random fool puts up a new song by a big brand name artist the comments, likes, and views come pouring in. 100k in an hour?! The choice is clear. We need a new outlet for no named artists who are putting out good, quality music.
Hmm? Maybe it'll be me to do it one day. It could happen.
